Tamagotchi is an egg that fits in the palm of your hand and there is a screen in the middle of this egg with a few different buttons. On this screen, you interact with a pet by using the three buttons under the screen. You can feed your pet, clean up after them, play with them or scold them. You can also check on facts that will gauge things like how happy your pet is and how hungry he is. If your pet was unhappy because you didn’t clean up after him, or you disciplined him too much, he would leave and it would be game over. That means you had to start from day 1 all over again because the objective of the Tamagotchi was to raise it for 30 days.

Since the Tamagotchi first came out, it has hit stores in a variety of colors with different pets to take care. Tamagotchis do have competitors but none of those competitors gained as much notoriety as the original Tamagotchi. You could also download an app to your phone which would allow you to get in touch with other users on your cell phone or computer. There was also a short time that Tamagotchis were considered an accessory to an outfit but the biggest craze for these virtual pets happened when they first came out in the 1990s.

Many people who have experience with these virtual pets have good memories and many people like to relive their good memories. The people who have these memories may be in their 30’s or 40’s and everybody plays the video games they used to play as a kid so why would they not want to relive the experience of taking care of a virtual pet?

If you want to establish a connection without seeing the console, you can activate the silent connection. To do this, right-click on the icon in the task bar (1) and select the menu item Settings (2). Here you have to check the box Silent connection (1).
The Tamagotchi Connection Version 3 (abbreviated as the V3) is the third Tamagotchi Connection release that debuted in February 2006. It was the first Tamagotchi release outside Japan to interact with the now retired Tamatown. It has more characters than the previously released versions (52 total) and offers a password concept similar to the Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus and the Chou Jinsei.
The original Tamagotchi was first introduced in Japan in 1996 and was a huge craze. It wasn't long before Bandai introduced it to Europe and North America where the craze grew further. By late 1998 and 1999, the fad has began to die out. Tamagotchi products became rarer to find until production was stopped altogether.

These egg-shaped toys where you can connect with a virtual pet are being made and there is a plan for distribution in the United States. There is a question if these things will be released again in the United Kingdom. The shape of the item stays the same and there are no upgrades to the screen so you won’t be able to see what is going on if you play with it in a dark room. However, the new ones will be less than half the size of the original ones released in the 1990s. Since the egg is smaller than the original, that does mean the screen will be smaller.

We won’t be able to adjust options but we will still be able to turn it on and off this time. You may have to explore if you don’t remember how to play but the Tamagotchi will make noise when your virtual pet wants something from you. Just like the ones that came out in the 1990s, you will need to make sure the needs of your virtual pet are being met. So it’s the same gameplay that we remember.

How To Work A Tamagotchi

All functions above are controlled from the three buttons below the screen.The 'left' button is called 'A', the 'middle' button is called 'B' and the 'right' button is called 'C'.

'A' lets you scroll clockwise thru icons at the bottom of the screen to select a function.

'B' is used to select a function once you highlight it with 'A'. It also scrolls through the informationin each function and is used to set the time and date.

'C' is used to return to the main screen from within a function or to unselect all functions in the main screen.

The 'skull icon' means your Tamagotchi is ill and needs at least one dose of medicine.

You can connect your Tamagotchi Connection to another one (if they are both old enough) by using the 'A' button to select the 'heart' icon in the top right corner of the screen. Point the keychain end of each Tamagotchi at each other, then press the 'B' button twice. When you get them connected,they will automatically play games with each other, or visit and leave presents.

Be sure to turn out the light when your Tamagotchi sleeps at night, he will automaticallyturn it on when he wakes up.

Up to fifty friends can be stored along with the level of friendship: aquaintance, buddy, friend,good friend, best friend, true partner (indicated by the number of smiley faces).

The books are Bandai's Tamaplus Raising Guide (Japanese title is 'Kaettekita TamagotchiPlus Suku Suku Sodatekata Guide') and the Bandai Playing Book (Kaettekita! Tamagotchi to Asobu Hon').

Tamagotchi Plus has meters for Hunger, Happiness and Discipline. The books speculatethere are three other variables of importance (Luck Level, Body Needs, and Heart/Spirit).

Luck Level ranges from one to five. If Tamagotchi's Luck level is high, they will beoffered more disciplined (higher discipline level) parters in arranged marriages. Body Needs are food, health and discipline.

Heart Needs are happiness, sleep and comforting.
