“Yoshi’s Crafted World” is an upcoming side-scroller/platform video game that is currently being developed by Good-Feel and will be published by Nintendo. The game will be released exclusively on Nintendo Switch on March 29th, 2019, as the eighth main installment in the “Yoshi” series. Set in Yoshi’s Island, the game follows Yoshi and his friends attempting to recover Sundream Stone gems around the world after a failed attempt by Kamak and Baby Bowser into stealing it.

Yoshi returns to the spotlight for his first foray on to the Nintendo Switch in Yoshi's Crafted World. As Nintendo diehards could have guessed, Yoshi's debut on a new stage is creative, charming.
The gameplay centers around side-scrolling (2D gameplay where the player only moves left and right while the level scrolls to the right (most of the time) and platforming (the player navigates by jumping or climbing on platforms while avoiding hazards) in a 3D environment. A new mechanic in the game is that the player can go forward or back in different sections and throw eggs in the background or foreground. Speaking of viewpoints, in the 2D sections the player can switch viewpoints, which “flips sides” so that the player can see behind objects. The main mechanic, however, is for the player to navigate Yoshi around the map, eat enemies or objects, convert them into eggs, and remove them from the level by throwing them. Multiplayer is available, so each player can use their own Yoshis.
The game was announced at the 2017 Electronic Entertainment Expo, and it was set to be released sometime last year. However, the game was delayed and will be released this year. What is unique about this game is that Unreal Engine 4 is used, so the game looks more sharp and realistic. The game will support all Amiibo, granting the player costumes. But if there is any Amiibo related to the “Super Mario” franchise or the ones from “Yoshi’s Woolly World”, the player is given costumes based on the character used.
I would recommend this game since this would “revolutionize” the franchise with its new gameplay and graphics. Given all the time between its announcement and the release date, the makers have surely made certain that it won’t be a disappointment. And hopefully, you’ll think the same.
